A branding photography session is one of the best investments you can make so that you have visual content that represents your business and brand.
As a branding and social media strategist and educator, I help business owners create a memorable brand so that they can connect to their ideal audience and clientele. Then I ensure we infuse their business brand throughout their marketing online and off.
Whether you are a personal brand or not, one of the best ways to do this is through photography – getting the right photos to represent you and your company.
Types of photos you should consider getting done are a variety of headshots, images of you in your business environment, images that reflect your lifestyle or who you are, and I like photos with a variety of gestures with a simple white background.
But how do you use the photos from your branding shoot?
One of the posts that performed well for me was when I asked my followers which photo I should use for my new profile picture. And I selected the one that people liked the best.
You can use one of your photos with a favourite quote to help inspire and connect with your audience.
Creating posts to promote a product or service with a ‘face’ on it tends to perform better than text-based images.
You may want to post something to convey an emotion or special message.
Your branding photos can be used to create content on tips.
And by the way, you can create amazing social media content leading up to your branding shoot as well, by sharing your journey with your audience.
Here are some ideas:
- Give a sneak peek of which outfits you may be using. You could even ask which outfit people like best if you are undecided about what to wear.
- Do a quick video pan of the location you are having your shoot.
- Show how the camera setup looks.
- Show off the before and after makeup look.
Your branding photos are the gift that keeps giving! Not only can you create some amazing social media content with your branding photos, but you can also use your photos to update your website and create marketing brochures, business cards, and any other marketing material.
Creating a business brand on social media is about being able to communicate who you are, what you stand for, what you are offering, and connecting with the right people. Having branding photos helps provide that visual content to communicate your brand.
